About Me

In 2007, Jesus ruined my life.  I lived in El Alto, Bolivia for four months as a part of a servant team through Word Made Flesh, whose mission is to serve the poorest of the poor around the world in the name of Jesus.

It was there I ate lunch with women who prostituted for a living, served hot chocolate to very young girls in brothels, and gave amateur haircuts to the physically and mentally disabled.  It was there I truly entered in to suffering and brokenness which, ironically, enabled me to embrace the depth of God's love for all people.  (Read more here.)  It was there that God affirmed my call to advocacy, poverty awareness and social justice.

Since then, I have used whatever means available to me to be a voice for the voiceless and an advocate for the destitute and oppressed.  As a youth pastor's wife, small group leader, nanny, coffee shop manager, worship leader, and Noonday Ambassador, I want to "do love"(think Bob Goff) and live simply so others may simply live.

I grew up in Southern Oregon and now reside in rainy Southwest Washington.  I get excited about hot weather, milkshakes, coffee dates and traveling.
